You will soon be able to visit Dubai. One of the most favourite holiday destinations of the world is all set to welcome guests back. Dubai will be opening its gates for tourists from July 7. You read that right.
But, unlike the Maldives, there are a lot of protocols, related to the novel coronavirus, that will be followed. The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, Dubai recently tweeted about these protocols, which involve testing and staying in quarantine. Let’s see what they are.
new holiday protocols in DUBAI
Tourists should have a COVID-19 test result with them that is not more than four days old and proves that the person tested does not have COVID-19. If they do not have the proof, the tourists will have to undergo a coronavirus test at the airport.
Before arriving in Dubai, the tourists will also have to sign a declaration saying that they will bear the entire cost for the tests, quarantine stay and treatment, if the person shows symptoms.

The tourists will also have to download the COVID-19 DBX app, which is the Dubai equivalent of Aarogya Setu and will have to register by filling the necessary details.
A thermal screening of every tourist will be done on arrival. If anyone is found with symptoms, they will be tested again and will be taken to the isolation facility for which the tourists will have to pay from their pocket.
