If you are a foodie, then you would know that having just three meals is not enough. You need small tid-bits in between. Many dieticians also recommend that snacking is good for health given that you don’t eat anything fried.

Today, we are sharing a special recipe for all those who love drums of heaven. Now, you can eat as many chicken lollipops as you want because these are baked and not fried.

Check out what all you’ll need for the marination of drums of heaven

Chicken winglets500 gms
Dark soy sauce1 tsp
White vinegar 1.5 tsp
Chilli powder1 tsp
Ginger (chopped)1 tsp
Garlic (chopped)1 tsp
Black pepperAs per taste
SaltAs per taste
Cornflour 1/4 cup
Egg1 pcs
All-purpose flour2 tbsp

Method for the marination:

Take the chicken winglets whose meat has been cut from the bone to look like a lollipop. Put them in a bowl and add salt, pepper and red chilli powder. Mix them well. Now, add chopped ginger and garlic along with some dark soy sauce and white vinegar. Using your hand, mix all the ingredients together and let the chicken rest for 30 minutes.

Once the marination is done, add cornflour and all-purpose flour in the bowl along with an egg. If you wish, you can add a pinch of red chilli powder and salt. Coat all the winglets evenly.

Following this, line a baking tray with foil and place the winglets on it. Bake the chicken for 15-20 minutes at 180 degree Celsius till golden brown.

Know the ingredients you’ll need to make the sauce:

Oil 1 tbsp
Ginger (chopped)1 tsp
Garlic (chopped)1 tsp
Onions (chopped)1 pcs
White vinegar1 tbsp
Brown sugar1 tsp
Dark soy sauce2 tsp
Schezwan sauceAs per taste
Tomato ketchup1 tbsp

Method to make the gravy for Drums of heaven:

To make the gravy, pour the oil in a pan. To this, add chopped ginger and garlic, and sauté them for a minute. Now, add the chopped onions and let them cook. After this, add schezwan sauce, followed by dark soy and tomato ketchup.

Now, it’s time to add white vinegar and brown sugar. Let the sauce cook for a minute on high flame. If you feel that the sauce is too thick, then you can add some water and let it boil.

Once the chicken lollipops are baked, take them out of the oven and toss them in the sauce. Enjoy them hot with your favourite drink.
