Moisturiser at war! Comparing 4 of our favourite face creams

Looking for the perfect moisturiser that will help you get that flawless skin you always dreamt about? To help you find ‘the one’, we have compared four of our favourite face creams.

How many times have you looked at a celebrity’s photo and went all “ah! Her skin is so flawless, what’s the secret?” Well, the secret behind a flawless skin is moisture. Watch any celebrity’s skincare video and you will see them talking about how important it is to keep your skin hydrated.

With the beauty market expanding by the day, there are so many ways in which one can keep their skin hydrated. From face mists to masks, there is just no limit. But the one product that everyone has in their beauty kit, even if they are ‘I can’t do too many products’ kind of a person, is a moisturiser.

Moisturising the skin is very important no matter what the season is. However, to find the perfect moisturiser, you need to first know your skin type. If you have a combination skin, you can use almost all the products available in the market. But you need to put in a bit more effort if you have oily or dry skin.

To help you find out the perfect moisturiser, based on our experience, we have compared four of our favourite face creams.

Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion

Comparing our favourite moisturisers

This should be your go-to travel moisturiser. It comes in a tube and has a creamy texture. Just a drop of it can cover the whole face. It is really good for those who have dry skin. This one comes in two sizes and is not very costly. It is also suitable for those who have sensitive skin. It takes a second or two to get absorbed but it doesn’t feel heavy or clog your pores. This one can be an amazing addition to your nighttime beauty routine.

Clinique Moisture Surge 72-hours Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

Comparing our favourite moisturisers

Just like the name suggests, this one gives your skin a boost of hydration. It has a gel-like texture and gets absorbed within a second. The good thing about this product is that it comes in variant sizes, so, you can try it first with a smaller package. The cream does make your skin feel hydrated all day long. It is a bit costly, however, because you just have to use a very small quantity at a time, it goes on for a longer period. It will not leave you with a sticky feeling but your skin will feel soft and supple. This one will help you get that natural glow.

Olay Regenerist Whip SPF 30 Moisturiser

This is like a better version of Olay Regenerist. It has a creamy texture but it’s very light. It is a miracle product for those who have oily skin. This cream doubles as a primer and it will not make your skin greasy. Even though it has a creamy texture, it gets absorbed easily and makes the skin firm, bidding adieu to the wrinkles. The cost of this one, too, is a bit high and it comes in one size only.

LANEIGE Water Bank Gel Cream

Comparing our favourite moisturisers

This one is a water-based cream that has an amazing fragrance and feels luxurious. It is expensive for sure, but the quantity is good and you just need very little product at once. The texture of this one is somewhere between a gel and a cream, and it gets absorbed very quickly. This one, too, comes in just one size. The product works amazing for those who have oily skin. Put it on after applying a toner and you are sorted for the day. You will not feel that your skin is getting dry as it provides a good hydration boost. It leaves you with a shiny and bright skin.
