Know the ingredients you’ll need for banoffee pie

Condensed milk (milkmaid)1 tin
Digestive biscuits (McVitie’s)1 pkt
Butter10 gm
Banana 2 pcs
Cream100 gms
Dark chocolateAs per requirement

Here’s, how you can make the super simple dessert at home

Take a sealed tin of condensed milk and put it in a pressure cooker. Make sure that you submerge the tin completely in water. Turn the flame on and let it whistle 2-3 times. Once the steam is out, take the tin and put it in an ice bath. This is probably the simplest way of making dulce de leche.

Following this, take a pack of digestive biscuits and crush them. You can either do this by putting the biscuits in a grinder or can do it with your hands. Once crumbled, add melted butter and mix well. This will make for the base of your pie.

Take the biscuit mix and put it on a greased tin baking tray. Put the tray in the oven for 5-10 minutes, depending on how brown you want the base to be, at 180 degrees.

Once the base is ready, open the condensed milk tin and pour the toffee on the top of the biscuit crumb. Put the baking tray in the refrigerator and let it set.

Now, take a break for some tips! If you don’t want to bake the base of your pie, you can simply put the biscuit mix in the baking tray and put it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

And for the second tip, if the condensed milk doesn’t turn into toffee in the pressure cooker and you have opened the tin, then you can just pour the liquid in a non-stick pan and cook it on low flame.

Coming back to the banoffee pie…

Take the bananas and slice them evenly. Decorate the pieces on the top of toffee and keep it aside. Following this, take fresh cream and start whisking it. After what will feel life a lifetime of whisking, you will get whipped cream.

Spread the whipped cream on the top of the bananas evenly. For the final step, take a piece of dark chocolate and grate it. Use the grated chocolate to top the pie.
