Now, you can easily make pretzels at home with our extremely simple recipe. Just imaging having a warm freshly baked one with your morning coffee.

There is nothing better than a freshly baked pretzel. That feeling of a warm and fresh pretzel dipped in mustard sauce melting in your mouth. We made you salivate no? But it is true, any form of bread, right out of the oven, especially a pretzel, tastes delicious.

Once you start, you can never just stop at one. We know you agree with us. But again, it is still quite risky ordering food from outside. So, guess what we made pretzels at home and they turned out to be great. So, we are going to share the recipe with you so that even you can enjoy freshly baked pretzels at home.

Pretzels – Recipe

Method

First, we will start with making the dough. In a pan, add warm water, sugar and salt. Mix them nicely. Once everything is thoroughly mixed, add the yeast and let this mixture rest for 10 minutes. Once you see a little bit of froth on the surface of the mixture, it means the yeast is activated and we are ready to move ahead.

For the next step, add four and a half cup of all-purpose flour and olive oil to this and knead the dough. Remember your dough should be soft otherwise, the pretzels will not be soft. The dough should neither be too hard or too soft.

Once the dough is cooked, let it rest for one hour. After one hour, you will see that the dough has doubled in size. Take it out of the pan and divide it into 6-8 equal pieces. Roll each piece in a thin line and make the shape of a pretzel. Best part-you can go as crazy with the shape as you like, make a flower or an animal, whatever you wish for.

Preheat your oven at 230 degrees Celsius.

For the next step, in four cups of water, add the baking soda. Once it comes to a boil, put a pretzel in the mixture and after 10-15 seconds take it out. Repeat the process for all the pretzels.

Now, either put a parchment paper on your baking dish or lather it with oil because the pretzels will stick to the bottom. Put it in the oven for 10 mins and you will get freshly baked pretzels.
