Darjeeling opened again for tourist on July 1. The tea heaven, that always has good weather, is letting people come in for a relax-cation.

If you also can’t wait to go on a holiday, we have some good news for you. The heaven on Earth, Darjeeling is now open for tourists. The place that is on the must-visit list of all chai-lovers welcomed tourists today (July 1) after being closed for three months.

But for those of you, who are planning to visit, let us tell you everything that you will have to go through.

Things to take care of during darjeeling vacation

At every entry point in Darjeeling, the thermal checking of visitors will be done. Whether you are driving to Darjeeling or flying in, your temperature will be checked.

People are also being encouraged to drive to Darjeeling in their own cars instead of cabs. This is being done for the safety purposes.

The hotels are also being asked to take precautions on their entry levels as well. Every visitor is also expected to carry a certificate of good health, proving that they are COVID-19 negative. These visitors will also have to fill out self-declaration form proving that they are healthy.

The decision, to open Darjeeling for travellers, came into existence as tourism is one of the main earning sources of the city. This call was taken by a committee. This group Involved some politicians, the autonomous governing body of Darjeeling and a few members of the Kalimpong region of West Bengal. Along with them, some hotel operators also took part.

This is anyways the peak time when tourists used to visit the city, which always had a great temperature.
