One very versatile recipe, we love to experiment with all the time, is pasta. There are so many varieties of pasta that one can make. It can be as simple as just putting olive oil with chilli flakes and garlic cloves.
Today, we’ll be sharing with you how we love to make red sauce penne pasta at home. However, if you are worried that this dish might be unhealthy, then we’ll tell you that we are using pasta made from durum wheat here.
Here are all the ingredients you’ll need for this pasta recipe:
|Penne pasta||200 gms|
|Olive oil||1 tbsp|
|Schezwan sauce||As per taste|
|Tomato ketchup||1 tbsp|
|Cheese spread||As per requirement|
|Fresh cream||As per requirement|
|Salt||As per taste|
|Oregano||As per taste|
|Chilli flakes||As per taste|
Follow this method to make the red sauce pasta:
Start with boiling water in a pan and add pasta in it. While the pasta cooks, in another pan, pour olive oil. Once the oil heats, add chopped onions and let them sauté. After this, add chopped tomatoes and garlic. Cook the ingredients for two minutes.
Following this, add tomato ketchup, schezwan sauce and salt along with some pasta water, and bring them to a boil. Now, add cheese spread or any cheese of your preference along with fresh cream. Stir well and your gravy is ready.
Drain the pasta and add it into the gravy. Mix them well. Now, add chopped capsicum and heat the pasta on low flame. Finish off the dish by putting oregano and chilli flakes.
You can also toast some garlic bread along with this yummy pasta.
