Chocolate, it is such an amazing ingredient. You can have oodles of it just like that or can put in a few more ingredients to make an amazing dessert. Talking about this decadent devil, dark chocolate is our favourite. The bitterness in it and the flavour of cocoa makes it heavenly. 

Now you are craving for some chocolate, aren’t you? This time instead of having it the usual way, make a cake with it and we’ll tell you how. 

To kick away your Monday blues, we share with you our simple recipe for eggless dark chocolate cake. 

Ingredients you’ll require to make the cake:

Butter100 gms
Dark chocolate50 gms
Condensed milk (milkmaid)1 tin
All-purpose flour (maida)1 cup
Cocoa powder2 tbsp
Baking powder1 tsp
Milk 1 cup
Chocolate for decorationAs per requirement
Cream50 gms

Follow this method to make the dark chocolate cake:

In a bowl, put butter and dark chocolate. Put the bowl in a microwave for about a minute. Once the ingredients melt, add condensed milk in the bowl and whisk the ingredients till combined. 

In a separate bowl, add all-purpose flour, cocoa powder and baking powder after passing through a sieve. With the help of a spoon, mix the ingredients. 

Now comes the tricky part. To make the batter, mix the dry and wet ingredients. Add the dry ingredients into the bowl with wet ingredients while alternating it with milk. 

While whisking you should take care that lumps don’t form in the batter. Once done, pour the batter in a baking tray. Now, if you are using a silicon mould, you don’t need to oil it, but if you are using an aluminium tray, you can grease it with oil. 

Easy-to-make dark chocolate cake

Following this, put the baking tray in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes. 

Once done, take the cake out and with the help of a wooden skewer, check if it is fully baked or not. If cooked properly, set the cake aside to cool down. 

Now, it’s time to make the ganache for decoration. As fancy as the word ‘ganache’ sounds, it super simple to make. All you’ll need to do is, put cream and dark chocolate in a bowl and heat it either on a stove or microwave. Once the cream starts heating up, whisk it to combine with the chocolate. Let it cool down for a minute or two, then pour it on the cake. 

As a finishing touch, you can put chocolates like Gems and Kit Kat on the cake. And, your decadent dark chocolate cake is ready.
