While taking care of our health, we mostly follow a healthy diet. But then, there are days when we just wish to eat something sweet and sinful. For days like these, we bring to you one of our favourite cake recipes.

Now, this recipe just needs six ingredients and you will not have to put in too many efforts. While the prep time for this dessert is just 10 to 15 minutes, the cake will take 18-20 minutes to bake.

Check out the ingredients you’ll need for the vanilla sponge cake:

Butter20-30 gms
Condensed milk1 tin
Vanilla essence1 tsp
All-purpose flour (maida)1 cup
Milk1/2 cup
Baking powder1 tsp

Follow this method to make the cake:

Start with putting the butter, which is at room temperature, in a clean bowl. Whisk it for a minute and then put in condensed milk. Whisk the ingredients together until combined. Next up, add vanilla essence and mix again.

Now, add all-purpose flour after passing it through a sieve. Alternate it with cold milk and mix all the ingredients together to form a batter. Finally, add baking powder and mix again.

Once your batter is ready, pour it in a tin or silicon baking tray. Put the baking tray in a pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes at 180 degree Celsius.

Before taking out the cake from the oven, check if it is fully cooked with the help of a knife. Once done, take the cake out of the oven and let it cool. After the cake cools down, slice it into pieces and enjoy it with a fresh cup of joe.
