However, Taiwanese carrier EVA Air thought this would be the perfect solution for the people who miss flying as well.
Yes, it is actually what you are thinking. A flight to nowhere.
Let’s learn a little more about the Hello Kitty flight
The Hello Kitty-themed flight of EVA Air will fly on August 8 in order to celebrate Father’s Day. Once you enter the flight, you will have Hello Kitty and all her friends greeting you. From food to the interior and even to napkin, everything in the flight is Hello Kitty-themed.
The flight will leave from Taipei Taoyuan Airport at 10.30 am and return to the same spot after 2 hours and 45 minutes. It will fly over Taiwan’s eastern coastline, pass through Guishan Island and the east coast of Hua, heading south to Eluanbi and Xiaoliuqiu before returning north on the original route.
The meal that will be served to you will be a selection of seafood chirashi-sushi rice designed by Michelin three-star chef Motoke Nakamura, along with beef sambal noodles.
You will have to shell out 5,288 yuan (Rs 56,978) for the economy class seat. However, if you wish to travel business class and have more leg space and comfort, you will have to pay an additional 1,000 yuan making the total to 6,288 yuan (Rs 67,755).
