While it is very important to keep a check on what we are eating, it is equally important to treat ourself with cheat meals at times. A bit of treat in between only helps in our strict diet. And, one of our favourite things to binge on when we decide to take a break from our diet is chewy chocolate cookies.
Dunking them in cold milk and eating that gooey goodness is just heavenly. We made you drool, didn’t we? You, too, can make yummy cookies at home just by following our simple recipe.
Here are all the ingredients you’ll need to make the chocolate cookies
|White sugar||1/2 cup|
|Brown sugar||3/4 cup|
|All-purpose flour||1 1/4 cup|
|Baking powder||1/2 tsp|
|Dark chocolate chunks||As per requirement|
|Vanilla essence||1 tsp|
Follow this method to make the tasty treat
Start with mixing white and brown sugar in a bowl. To this, add salt followed by melted butter. Whisk all the ingredients till combined. Now break an egg and add it into the bowl. After this, add vanilla essence and mix again.
Now, add the all-purpose flour after passing it though a sieve along with baking powder. Combine all the ingredients to make a dough by folding them together.
Once you have the basic dough ready, take a brick of dark chocolate and chop up small pieces. Add the chocolate pieces to the dough and mix again. Cover the bowl with a cling wrap and put the dough in the refrigerator for an hour or two.
After it is chilled, make small scoops of the dough and put them on a baking tray. Do not forget to line the tray with parchment paper. Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes at 180 degree Celsius.
Let the cookies cool and enjoy them with a glass of milk!
